We woke in wet Norfolk. We ate breakfast in a wet diner in wet Norfolk. We departed, headed north. Said g'bye over the phone to family. Our next stop-- Bethany Beach. We arrived and visited Tim, Catharine, and Maggie, nice enough to host us a day and Miles all week. We had a easy drive there and a nice walk on the boardwalk. Once we were all together we ventured beachward, overcast and hot. The water was coooooold but we swam. We made sand things. We had a big dinner at a seafood place and we slept, grateful travelers.
